dc.description.abstracten This study analyzes the relationship between the tourism trade of Alto Caparaó (MG) and the management of Caparaó National Park (PNC), focusing on challenges related to communication and the involvement of the tourism sector in the decision-making processes of the Protected Area's management. The methodology includes a literature review and the application of questionnaires to both tourism entrepreneurs and PNC management staff. The aim was to understand the perceptions of those involved and to identify possible gaps in the dialogue between the parties. The results show that, although the Park is widely recognized as the main tourist attraction in the region, communication between its administration and the local tourism trade has notable weaknesses. Entrepreneurs report difficulties in accessing information and participating actively in decisions that impact tourism activities. It is concluded that a more structured dialogue between the Park’s administration and the tourism trade is essential for the sustainability of tourism in the region. It is suggested that regular meetings with specific topics be held, that communication exchanges be made clearer, and that social media be used more carefully to improve access to information. These actions contribute to the development of more participatory and effective management, fostering tourism growth while promoting the Park’s environmental protection. pt_BR
